Hi Samantha, How's it going since your surgery? I don't see any comments after you returned home... I'm just beginning to consider this surgery and wanted to know how you're doing six months down the road. Hope it's all good :-)

Samantha just got home from her open RNY surgery (6/21) on last Thursday, the 30th. She had acquired a restistant strain of Staph (MRSA), and hasn't been doing too well, and in a lot of pain. I wish you an uneventful surgery and a speedy and painless recovery. Remeber to follow your doctors rules and stick your your food plan. I wish you the best.

I just spoke with Sam! She is in a regular room, and is in a lot of pain, but she is doing well, and resting this afternoon. She was up and about this am, and now is resting. She is still glad about going through with the surgery, and is looking forward to better days ahead. Please keep her in prayer, as well as her grandmother, who is unexpectedly now hospitalized after having a stroke and isn't doing well.

Angel reporting! I received a call from a friend of Sam's...and she's doing well post op. Surgery was completed this am. I believe she's in the ICU tonight, so I'll call her tomorrow. :) Kris
