I hope you're feeling better. Your story of courage is a great one for other men who are looking forward to wls, like my husband. There are so many more stories from women, and he likes to read stories that he can "relate to more". So, thanks for sharing your experiences, and we sincerely hope that you will mend quickly!

I know that I posted a couple of hours ago that Tom was doing fine after surgery, but I just came back from the hospital and he is having a rough day. His pain level is high. His oxygen levels are low and he is running a fever. They are making him do some extra breathing treatments. They took his catheter out, but he isn't able to urinate, so they are considering recathiterizing him. If you get a chance, say a prayer for him. I'm a bit stressed and worried.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Tom's surgery was yesterday and he came through just fine. He was pretty zonked yesterday, and wasn't in much pain. Today, however, he is awake and they've already had him up walking. He is feeling the pain today and feels pretty rough. If you get a chance, please sign his surgery page and cheer him on. The early days post op can be really tough.

Hi Tom! You are on your way!! I know this is a scary and exciting time for you. You are going to do just fine!!! Just think, You are starting a journey that only a few travel. You should be very proud of yourself. I am proud of you!!!! Think of some of the new things you will be able to do like take a long bike ride, get on a amusement park ride and not worry if you will fit in the seat, cross your legs and the best of all have the energy to do these things!!! Everything will be just fine and know you have a wonderful group of people here to help you meet your needs. The best of luck on your surgery with a speedy and healthy recovery!!
