John I am so glad that you are doing well, as you may remember we had the surgery on the same day. I had a small complication, but nothing as bad as yours, my spleen got a tear in it and I had to have 4 units of blood to stabilize my blood presure. I was out of the hospital 52 hours post op. and glad to be home. I hope your have a very speedy recovery now and all goes well for you. Jim Oxford

Good morning all. Well, I arrived in Florida yesterday to help Terry out. John was pretty whacked out on the morphine yesterday, thinking they were trying to kill him and made us promise that we would not allow them to do any more procedures. Yes, he is off the respirator, as of yesterday morning, and doing his breathing exercises very well. They will be performing another leak test this morning and I am so hopeful that he passes this one and turns the corner. If he keeps improving and does what they ask he may get out of intensive care today. He keeps asking when he can walk (good news). He is using less of the morphine and hopefully the accumalative side effects will lessen. He was sitting in a chair when we went to see him at the 8:00 pm visitation. Please keep John in your thoughts and prayers, it's helping
