HI Lise. I am so very sorry to hear of your brother! I really feel your pain and am so sad for you and your siblings! As you said, they said the Lord does not give you more than you can handle, and we are not suppose to question it, BUT.. sometimes I do wonder!! *sigh* I do wish I lived closer to you for I sure would keep your dog for you! I have 4 myself, all inside dogs, and I have 8 cats! When we go on vacation, someone has to stay behind to let the dogs in and out, for I can't stand for them to be left outside in the heat or cold! Your post is heartbreaking, Lise. I can't imagine going in for routine surgery like a hernia repair and finding out you have inoperable cancer. I wish I could think of something to cheer you but know in my heart that this is a devastating situation and that you will have to go through tough times before you can heal. I wish you peace.

Lise, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. If we were just a little closer, I would offer to keep your "baby" for you as I have one that is spoiled by being inside all the time also. God really doesn't give us more than we can bear. He must realize what a strong person you really are. (((HUGS))) Elizabeth

Lise, words can not express the saddness that you must be feeling. Take heart in the knowledge that he will not be in pain and that your memories are for ever. You have been given the chance to say goodbye and tell him of your love. Take care and God Bless

Hi Lise, I am so very saddened by your news. In this most difficult time please remember that God didn't bring you this far to leave you alone now. I too, am glad that you are able to spend some time with your family, and have the chance to say good-bye. You've had such a tragic life. We are all praying for you and your brother. Lise, my heart goes out to you with the news of your brother. The comment about God not giving us more than we can bear is true. I will be praying for your strength to be able to deal with these most unfortunate days. Right now praise and thank God for all that you do have (bear with me). Thank God that you have been given this time to spend with your brother and that he was not suddenly taken away from you. Thank God that you will be able to finish any unfinished business with him, say any last words that you haven't said. I pray that God will come and make your pain lighter and easier to bear. I know this will be the hardest thing to do, but I had to do it myself. I will be praying that God makes your brothers' final days peaceful and painfree, I will be praying that God comes and holds on to your brother as he makes that transition. I can't take your pain but I can be here for you in spirit. I will be praying for you and your family daily.

Dear Lise, May your journey be blessed with ultimate success. I have eaten beans from the time I was allowed blended food. I love beans in fact have a big pot of 15 bean soup today. I have lost 214 pounds and now weigh between 139 and 142 and feel wonderful from my top weight of 353. Keep up the good work make good choices and plan and I know you can reach your goals.
