Hi Donna & David, I have just spent an hour or so looking through the message board for your latest posting. I have been out of touch with AMOS for awhile and did not know how things were going for you both, although I do continue to pray for hope and healing. So I tried to go directly to FIND PEERS, but it seems to be down (yesterday and today). So my only hope of getting a message through was to find your latest posting and go from there. So here I am. Please let me know the latest regarding David's condition so I know how to continue to pray. God Bless!

Hi Donna, This is Doug's wife and yes, as you know, he did have a leak. Doug's leak was caused by the drain being too close to the healing site on the stomach, however, when trying to heal from the leak (before they figured out the drain problem) he could have NOTHING by mouth...that is the ONLY way they said the leak could be healed....he could only have the intravenous feedings. No ice, no water, NOTHING and that went on for about six weeks or so. The area has to be dry in order to close up and heal. I'm surprised David is being allowed to consume anything by mouth. I would question the doctor about this and get a thourough answer to what they are doing that way. Good luck. Barb E.

I send you prayers for the recovery of your husband. However I want to send prayers to you also I can not even imagine how hard this is on you to see the man you love suffer like this. As hard as this is I hope you take time to nurture yourself so you can find the strength for both of you. I will keep you both in my prayers.

David, I am so glad that you will are going to Home, Sweet, Home! I am sure you will do much better there with your loved ones than in the hospital.
