Met with Theresa at the hospital, and let me tell you, she looks just as wonderful as she sounded on the phone. I predict her recovery to be a breeze! She has been very diligent with her walking and breathing exercises and is doing quite well with her fluid intake. She's to be commended. What a pleasure it is to be an angel for such a sweet girl! Best of luck to her for her continued success.

Hello! I recently was able to speak with Theresa and she is sounding just wonderful! Much better than I was day 2, I can tell you that. I'm sorry I did not post yesterday following her procedure, but I kept giving the hospital the name "St. Fort", but Theresa goes by the name "Cooper, St. Fort". Let's just say that lately I'm feeling poor Theresa didn't get the brightest "angel" on the Christmas tree! Ha-ha! Well, I'm on my way to visit her now (and a few other of Dr. Marema's patients). Let's continue our prayers for a safe recovery for Theresa and indeed, all WLS patients.

Hi Theresa! I just wanted to say congrats on the surgery date! I'm scheduled 12-21 and I too was concerned about being in the hospital for Christmas but I decided I'd rather just make it out of there alive and well, be it Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve. I am "planning" on doing my breathing exercises religiously and walking until my legs give out...also going to try sitting upright as much as possible to help restore blood flow and reduce the risk of pneumonia.
