Hi Kylie, I have Cigna PPO. I didn't have 2 26-month dr. supervised diets. I had been generally following the Weight Watchers eating plan for about 4 years with 3 tries at WW over the last 6 years. I had no written documentation on any of it, so I was worried, but I do believe they are looking for good-faith attempts at weight loss. When I was denied (for other reasons) people told me each case is different. Just give them all the info you can. Good luck to you!

Kylie, Talk to your PCP and any other doctors that you are under their care. Get them to send your medical history whcih probably has a history of your weight. Make a list of every diet you have been on unsupervised & supervised. In the mean time, join Weight Watchers ASAP. And above all, pray for guidance. Never give up!

Kylie...cheer up hon...I know how ya feel I've posted a couple of time with no response but I do try to post to the ones having surgery and give support that way. I have met a few nice people that way who I email occassionally and they emnail me. Sorry you feel left out but hey WE LOVE YA! Jamie

Kylie, I understand what you are going through. My insurance wouldn't pay for the surgery. I had a surgery date 1/27/03.. I canceled it. I became so upset with the what if's. Don't do that to yourself, I wish I hadn't canceled. Now I have to start all over again. My sister had surgery a year ago, she is doing wonderful, she has her life back, while I am sitting on the fence :( Big ((((((Hugs))))))

Kylie Sorry no one answered your posts. i am in the same boat as you. Waiting on that darn insurance decision. Time seems to just creep by while we wait. Mine was submitted 1-17 and i can not get even an acknowledgement that they have the request. The Ins. cos. have us at their mercy If I can help let me know Chrisy D
