Hi, Karen Im hypo and pre-op. My surgeon made me have alot of test done because once you have wls your sugars do go down. My husband is a diabetic. And we both have the same feelings. So it looks like to me whether you are high or low you still feel lousy. If you checked your sugar before I would continue. I feel the best when my sugar stays at 80 to 110. My doctor told me that 70 is good to but I start feeling bad once it goes down that far. God Bless Cat Price

Hope you are doing great. I am trying to talk to people that have had surgery through Dr. Henderson. I have a surgery date for Dec 11, 2002 with a Dr. in Atlanta, but Dr. Henderson is so much closer and I can get a sugery date alot sooner. Please write back and let me know how you are doing. Thanks

Hang in there Karen! It DOES get better. I'm one year post down, down 134 pounds and the struggles of immediate post op are a distant memory now. If you need any support, just holler~!

Hello Karen, glad to see that you are feeling some better, Just hang in there girl for I read your profile, and you so deserve to enjoy your new life that is just around the corner. In the beginnng after surgery it sucks puting it mildly I want lie. But it does get better as each day passes. Soon you will be up and walking and doing your own thing and seeing the lbs just disapearing.....YAHHHOOOOO..... Now a message to your wonderful sweet Hubby. Jim you are a special man and I know that Karen is proud of you....you just keep giving her your support and most of your LOVE. GOOD MEN LIKE YOU ARE HARD TO FIND. BUT I HAVE ONE TOO... And I love my hubby to pieces...... Dont worry about the stuff you got at the suppermarket that is not right, heck we all have goofed a few times. Its hard to start reading indregrents and knowing what we can have and what we cant have, it will be a learning experience for us all. I know it sure was for me and my hubby and still is even just a little over a year out. You just keep doing what you are doing, and we Love you too for being there 100% for Karen. May God bless the both of you as you know grow into a new journey together of Karen being on the smaller side now. Life gets better as we get smaller. So Karen watch out for lots of Love and Romance coming your way. (Not saying that it wasnt already there but once we start losing and feeling better things just seem so much more wonderful.) Take care and again bless you REMEMBER DREAMS DO COME TRUE FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVES AND YOUR DREAM WILL COME TRUE ALSO LOVE YA JAY BILLER

Karen keep the faith no one said it was easy and thing good you have to wait for. The wait will make it better for you, just give it some time. Here's to a speedy recovery time and a new life your going to have soon.

Hi Karen, and welcome to your new world...I am sorry you are not feeling good at this time, but hang in there for it does get better with time. remember you just had MAJOR SURGERY and it is not something we all snap out of just overnight. Heck it took me at 6 weeks to feel like a human again. I am 1 1/2 year out down 144 lbs and loving life and you will too. Just be sure to get in your fluids, and try to walk as much as possible around the house to keep all the blood flowing and soon each day you will see an improvement in yourself too. Honestly. God bless you and take care we are here for you REMEMBER DREAMS DO COME TRUE FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVES JAY BILLER

Hi Karen, as a pre-op myself, hoping to be scheduled within the next 4-6 weeks, I cannot relate to your feelings firsthand. However, I do know about feeling depressed. Try to write down your thoughts and feelings right now, no matter how depressing they may seem. Some day soon I am sure you will look back and think "wow, I never realized how crummy I felt." You are very fortunate to have a loving and supportive husband. Let him pamper you awhile, and don't feel the least bit guilty! Hopefully you'll be able to go on short walks a couple times a day and the fresh air and sunshine will help you, as well as the exercise of course. Let us know how you feel once in awhile. It WILL get better soon, I am certain of that. God Bless - Anna
