Dr. Redmond is a genius in surgery - he is all about making sure you are comfortable - I had mine on 4/2/03 and was released 4/6/03. The nurses at the hopital during the week were awesome - ask for Amy, she was a complete doll, and Ms. Tina - Augistine she is 70 years old and the sweetest young lady you could ever have helping you. Also Shirly - she is an excellent nurse - goes above and beyond the call of duty. On the weekend I had several bad experiences with nurses just being plain lazy - not coming when you call and if you walk out to the desk they are sitting there ALWAYS - well ask for Theresa - she is nurse coordinator she is a tiny woman from NY and she will get them straight - she helped me out a lot, and Miss Cherie - wow what a ray of light - I only met her 1 day and I miss her already. She is always on the move not lazy at all but when she is with you she makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world. I was in room 309 right by the nurses station and walked every 6 hours. I was on demerl and teradol - morphine does not work for me - it only makes me sleepy - teradol is the best - it takes the pain away and keeps you coherent.
And get a binder they are irreplaceable!
