Brenda: It was nice to meet you last Wenesday at the hospital. I was just being released, but I wish we had more time to talk. My surgery went extreamily well. The pain was very manageable and I just did not want anything to eat. I have started the jello and water-do not care for the broth. I have had no pain in the new pouch, but feel blouted and have some preasure in the midsection. It was nice to meet you and I want to wish you the best in your surgery. The surgery was not even half as bad as i expected and the Dr. is good. As they say get up and walk and you will do great. BYE for now and looking foward to seeing less of you, because there will be a lot less in the future. Alan Wade

Brenda, Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery! Don't forget to take a pillow and/or a Bari Buddy (available at the OH.com store) with you to the hospital, you won't be sorry that you did! You need the pillow for all kinds of comforts from coughing to side support and frankly sometimes the hospital pillows just aren't really great. Also, you might inquire with the hospital about whether a fan will be available to you, if not and permitted, you might take one with you. The combination of the narcotics and the leg cuffs they use to prevent clots makes many people very very hot! bright blessings to you in this part of the journey and much success too!~Caroline O.--
