Vicki, I am playing catchup.. just saw your post from yesterday.. sweetie.. you are totally NORMAL. The first 8 weeks post op for me were horrible. Truly, it WILL get better. Just be patient...and take it one half hour at a time. You still have anesthisa in your system, you are not eating fully yet, and you are still healing.. what you feel is very normal and we (or at least most of us) go through it. At two months I finally started feeling better and here I am just shy of 6 months out now and would do it again in a heartbeat if I had to. Just hold on a bit longer.. things WILL turn around.. Peace and God Bless Tami

Hello Vicki, Sometimes, it seems like life is uncertain and it maybe, but this is when we need to believe all the more. People seem to think that everything will just fall in place, at times we have to go to exceptional lengths to gain the faith we need. I am sure you are a strong person and believer, because you took an exceptional leap of faith just by having this surgery. Remember the light may get very dim, but it is ALWAYS there. You will make it. Godspeed recovery. judyfromnj

Vicki, please call your surgeon and get something for your nausea. It's important that you get some nourishment and water in your body. Are you drinking protein shakes? At 1 month post-op, you should be getting 50-60 gm of protein daily in pureed foods and protein drinks. Contact your Surgeon's office - you shouldn't be feeling so poorly!

Hey Vicki, you hang in there....Remember anesthesia can make you feel really bad and change you tastes for up to 2 months because it is still in your system...Don't be afraid to call your doctor and complain...That's what you paid him for..not only the surgery, but the aftercare as well..take care..Blessings Pam :O)
