Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

Amy, Hi! Just wanted to tell you that the exact same thing happened to me!!! I joined Curves and before I had the chance to even start I hurt my knee!! Just wanted you to know that you're not alone! Marcy

Hi Amy, Welcome to the message board!!!!! Please, don't think I am being a smart-a#$, but, try chair dancing to music and also move your arms. It helps me to get exercise that I would not get any other way. Best of luck!!!!!! ROSI

Hi Amy... First of all...congratulations on your surgery date!!! I just read your post on the message board. So sorry to hear about your knee injury. How long do the doctors expect your knee to be hurting you like it is? I know how Dr. Ali wants us to start exercising and trying to lose a little weight before surgery, but it sounds like you have been doing really well. Hang in there, and try to get your knee in good shape now because the walkiing will be so important post-op. Don't try and push yourself too hard. And hopefully you can get back into a little exercise before your surgery and lose more. I have been wanting to join Curves and I want to do this before my surgery. But you have been much more motivated than I and unfortunately it has been all talk and no action for me so far. One of these days...! Feel free to email me anytime...
