LORI~~ The way I figure it- you owed them $11,00 for the surgery... the insurance company paid them $15,000... you should get a $4,000 refund! :-)

LORI~~~ So glad to see your post!! Sounds like you're doing great!! I'm glad that you didn't have any cravings making the cookies! It really is a "unique" experience, isn't it? I'm so glad that you're doing well.... please keep me posted. I think of you often and wonder how you're doing.

October 13, 2002 Dear Lori: Greetings! Read your post today; Please be careful. Your pouch is very raw (so to speak) and is in the healing process. Concerning this process, the new stoma is still a little wider open----thus easier food consumption. Within a few months that will change----and you could cause a blockage by eating the wrong foods or too much food. I know, it happened to me. Please follow your doctor's instructions to the tee-----you'll lose the weight and healthwise, be much better off. Sincerely, Lori Ann

LORI~~ SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE DOING AWESOME ~~ You might check though, I think I saw somewhere that if you heat protein powder it loses all it's protein... Please keep in touch. I love having my East Coast 9-1-1 buddies! YOU ARE AWESOME!

LORI WILL BE GOING HOME TOMORROW !! She was out galavanting the hallways when I got there this morning, spreading laughter and best wishes to several other 'posties'. Last night, she figured out a way to get into her bed and lie on her side, so she slept much better. Her pesky little low-grade fever is still hanging around, so that is why she's spending the extra night. I called her on my way home, and she said that she'd gotten the OK for a shower, and felt like a new woman. She asked me to warn everyone :: SHE'LL BE BAAAAACK ! HUGS and best wishes to all - Marilyn
