Hi Jenny, I went through the exact same thing, I was down about 17 lbs. just about 2 weeks post op then nothing! I was told your body just has to get used to the new routine. Since you deprived it of so much, It is holding on to everything you are putting into it. Once it "catches on" you will start losing. Just remember, your using food as fuel now, not for hunger so try to eat about 6 meals a day. If you hardly eat your body will go into starvation mode & store everything as fat, thinking you won't be giving it anymore. Another thing is that us "lightweights" sometimes lose slower than the people who have more to lose. Hang in there, it will come off...your body just has to get used to the new you!

Hi Jenny, I read your post today. When I have discomfort in my chest I take TUMS and this takes it away. at first I told my dr about this discomfort and he told me to take 2 tums in morning and two at night. Hope this helps

Hi! My only guess about the pain in your upper tummy may be being overfull. Is it after you eat? Maybe you are eating just a bite too much or ate something that has swelled up in your pouch. I hope you are recovering well and on the road to being a loser! Peace,

Hi Jenny!! I met you at Fashion Bug a few days before your surgery. I just wanted to let you know that I am glad everything went well on your big day. I pray for you daily for a speedy recovery. I would like to keep in touch with you so please email me when you get a chance. Love and prayers.

Jenny, 1 pound a day for 10 days rocks!! I also have noted that the more you have to lose the quicker it comes off. Don't compare yourself to others, which is a hard thing to do, I do it myself and get all upset...You are doing great!

Jenny, give yourself some time....Gotta allow for fuid retention and all that from surgery. Also not everyone loses the same. You may be down only 10 now but it might start really coming off later. Have faith in yourself and your surgery....God bless. jamie

Hello Jenny, I hope you are feeling ok. I also am having an open rny in just 5 days, the 26th. I'm getting nervous but i'm also still very excited. I don't expect you to be online soon, but when you are feeling up to it, please let me know how things went. Now that it's getting so close for my wls, I want to talk to everyone and anyone who went through it. Your step-father's post said you came through surgery just fine. I'm glad to hear there were no complications. I hope you are not to uncomfortable and will be feeling just fine real soon. Take Care.
