Hey, less than 18 hours now! I am so nervous and excited. I have been eating all day long! My doctor told me not to over do it but oh well, I'll take my bowel-prep in the next hour and he will never know it. My phone number is in the book, if you want to call, if not I'm sure I'll meet you in the hospital. I am so nervous! I am thankful that I have had you to talk to and I look forward to meeting you. Good luck to us! I will pray for us both tonight as well. Can you believe it is tomorrow morning???

Hi Tracy!!! You are on your way!! I know this is a scary and exciting time for you. You are going to do just fine!!! Just think, You are starting a journey that only a few travel. You should be very proud of yourself. I am proud of you!!!! Think of some of the new things you will be able to do like take a long bike ride, get on a amusement park ride and not worry if you will fit in the seat, cross your legs and the best of all have the energy to do these things!!! Everything will be just fine and know you have a wonderful group of people here to help you meet your needs. The best of luck on your surgery with a speedy and healthy recovery!! Hey, it was great to hear from you, we could probablly both use all of the support we can get. I have been trying to get my stuff together today. I can't believe in about 36 hours I will be having surgery-I've never had surgery before which makes it even worse. I guess I should be comforted by the fact that I am a surgical-nurse but you know what it doesn't! I am going to try to stay busy tomorrow-putting up the Christmas tree, laundry, packing, oh yeah and eating everything in site until after lunch. I bought a box of Krispy Kreme's today(already eaten 3) and it hit me that this will be my last box ever!!! But I am very excited and look forward to the future. Well, good luck I hope to hear from you before THE DAY, but if not hope to see you there and we will have to stay in touch!

Hi, it was so nice hearing from you again. Yes,I definitely stuffed myself for Thanksgiving. Dr. Long gave me a fleets by mouth to take on Sunday evening. He may have just ordered that because I asked him about it. I was wanting to go to the support group, but, it only meets on Mondays and I didn't know my surgery date until after the first Monday in November. Do you like it? I thought I might go to the one in January. My surgery is @ 9:15am on Monday, what time is yours? We will probablly pass each other sometime in the hallways. I am getting really nervous and excited also. I have already made my packing list. I was thinking yesterday that I was lucky to have found someone to talk to that will be going through this experience at the same time as me. I am nervous about the month of liquids. I love to eat and socialize! I will just have to find new things to do with friends such as shop. Ha-I'm sure my credit cards will like that! Well, I hope we talk again before surgery, but if not good luck and we will have to stay in touch afterward-that's when I hear you need it the most anyways! Thanks for talking!

Hi, I am so excited that someone found me that is having the same exact surgery as me at the same place and with the same group of physicians. It is nice to meet you! My surgery is scheduled for 9:15am what about you? Dr. Long is who is doing mine. I orignally wanted Dr. Davenport but she was on maternity leave when I wanted my consult. I am a nurse and I worked with her when she was a resident about two years ago. She was wonderful, I think you will love her. Dr. Long is really good too(her associate). Well, we only have a few days left I am so nervous and excited, we will have to stay in touch and talk!!! I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I dont know about you but I am going to "stuff" myself. One question for you- what kind of bowel-prep did they order for you and starting when? Just curious? Well, nice to meet you and I hope that we will be able to stay in touch since we have so much in common. Good luck!
