Wow, days go by in a blurrrr during the holidays! Bad angel here, I feel so bad because I should have realized that Maggie wasn't going to "run" home from the hospital and feel up to posting! She also sounded so good on the telephone that I pictured her back to normal and she's not quite there yet!! She's still feeling punky and very sore and I think it's difficult for her to sit anywhere and feel comfortable for any length of time. She's one of these people that doesn't like pain medication and is trying to cope with what I'm sure is still a great deal of pain from her open RNY. I can't believe it's been 9 days since her surgery....she must be getting SKINNY!!! We all love ya Maggie Mae, keep your chin up sweetie! Happy New Years to everyone! Hugs... -- Beth Preston

Merry Christmas! I just finished talking to Maggie...she sounded SUPER! Her spirits were up and her voice sounded strong...she did however say that she wasn't prepared for that much pain going into this! She discontinued the pain medication that seemed to be causing headaches and is trying to deal with the pain! She said getting up and down for bathroom runs is a real chore, but she's managing...tough lady! She also told me that she hopes to be home by noon on Wednesday the 27th! I think we'll be seeing Maggie Mae online before we know it! I do believe she loves us as much as we love her! She did mention that lots of people called and I know she appreciated all the love and concern. Please continue to pray that her recovery continues to be "routine" , (whatever that might be)...I just hope it's a fast and easy one for her. It's lonely here at AMOS and GBIC tonight...I hope this finds all healthy and happy throughout the holidays! Love,

Greetings...good news, I spoke to Maggie at about 5:30 this afternoon. She sounded wonderful considering! She said her throat was sore from the tube down it during surgery, and she said she was hurting...pretty bad...but with a positive outlook she told me that she was sure she'd be feeling much better tomorrow. Sweet Maggie...just out of surgery was asking me how I was feeling (I'm still pre-op) so I just feel FAT!! LOLOLOL I was so thrilled to hear her voice and be able to tell you that she really sounded wonderful! She said they were going to get her up and walking this evening. They had the compression stocking on her and the alternating air thing that helps prevent embolisms Keep posting to Maggie's surgery page as I will print it and fax it to her at the hospital. She'll be thrilled to know how much she's truly loved and missed! By the way, she wasn't missing in action last night...she had a room at the hospital to prep for surgery...they just didn't seem to know! Happy angel signing off...Love to all, 0:-)Beth
