Hi....Update on Nicole & Kathy M....I went to visit both these wonderful gals at Lenox Hill today (with my friend, Berta, another post-op). I had never met them before and I met two very wonderful people. Nicole was still in a lot of pain and having total "buyers remorse"...I feel for her and assured her it will get better. I am so envious and jealous of her, she is only 22 and has her whole life in front of her now. She is doing this so early, doing what I wished I had so many yrs ago. She is a beautiful girl and will soon even a more gorgeous young lady. Nicole, I promise it will get better. Kathy M, what a doll. We had never met, but, she checked in on me via email after my PS and car accident. She already seems like an old pro, up and walking around and already ready to be discharged. I, too, am excited for her. She is going to have her life back and do all these amazing things that she is restricted from now. I am so happy for her and her 6 yr old son, who will now have a very, soon to be active mommy. If you have not yet, pls check out their profile and post a message as they both will be home from the hopistal tomorrow. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/forums/profile.phtml?N=D1080074261&ID=983746970 http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/forums/status.phtml?N=o1074375700&ID=983746970

Congratulations, Kathy, on having had your surgery! I hear you're doing great! Yay! Remember to keep walking (it really helps with any gas you may be experiencing) and try to eat what you're allowed to eat (don't rush it, though). Each day you'll be getting better and better. Hope you have a very speedy recovery!

Hi Kathy! Congrats on having your surgery! Let the weight loss begin!! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. Take those pain pills and splint the tummy! These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. Some days those emotions will resurface and try to get the best of you, but just remember what you’ve been through to get this far! I’m sure you’ll be proud of what you’ve accomplished!! You know you can always come here and get a dose of confidence and good will! We will still be here to support you and cheer you on as the pounds come off! I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!! Wishing you much success in your weight-loss journey. Today you burst out of that cocoon and become a beautiful butterfly! Tomorrow you’ll spread those wings and embark on a wonderful journey! Soft hugs to you today. God bless, DI from NJ - Lap RNY, 12/09/03 ~In Loving Memory of Momma Angel~
