Kathy, I was with the Weight for Life team at Alexian also. Dr. Kane Jr. was my surgeon but I also saw Dr. Rantis in the hospital. He was very sweet and a great bedside manner. I had lap in 1.5. hours and was out of the hospital in 3.5 days. Pain management was excellent!! You have my prayers for a safe surgery and a fast recovery. Remember to use your spiromter alot and walk when you can :) We live pretty close to each other, I am in Roselle. Keep me posted and Godspeed

Kathy.....I also sav Dr Rantis for surgery consult.My date for surgery will be 8-28-01.But I will be open instead of lap.My bmi is too high for a lap.Best of luck.

Kathy~I wish you the best with your upcoming surgery.Your date will be here before you know it.11 weeks and 50 lbs later I can definately say this is the greatest thing I have ever done for myself.Keep us posted on your progress. God Bless~Kim
