Just checking in to let you all know that Beverly is doing fine. So far so good. At this point no complications. The Dr. she may go home on Thursday.She has graduated from water to apple juice and protein shake. Hooray!!!

I spoke to Beverly twice today and she is doing well. She had the swallow test and she has no leaks. She did say it was nasty tasting. She is only drinking water now but will start on apple juice tonight. She has been up and walking a few times today. I will post again tomorrow night after I speak with her again.

Beverly came through the surgery fine. Dr. Grant was able to do the surgery lap. I talked with Beverly about 9:00 tonight and she had just gotten to her room from the recovery room. She sounded weak but she said the pain had eased alot from what it had been. She was very happy that the Dr. had been able to do it lap. The surgery lasted about 4 hours. She plans to call me tomorrow. I will update again tomorrow. Darlene Jones
