Hi Carla. Your DH just posted that you passed your swallow test but were in a lot of pain. Honey, that will pass. Every day there will be a little less pain, and before you know it, you'll be walking around feeling great! I just wish you the speediest recovery! btw...you are a beautiful lady, and this time next year..va va voom! Hugs from Linda

Carla... when you read this you'll probably be out of surgery and on your way to a healthier you. How exciting is THAT ?!? I hope the surgery goes well & that you recover quickly. Carla, Since Tomorrow is the big day,I don't know if you are reading this or not. I'm still pre op,but soon I'll be right there with ya. Our prayers are with you and keep us posted on the progress! Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
