About me....I am in my mid 40's and started gaining weight around the age of 27. Growing up I was always the one who was tiny, I am only five feet tall and in college only weighed 86 lbs. I can't believe I have let my body get to where it is. I weigh 215 now. My health has become an issue and the time has come to take control of my life. Eating because of stress is what started me gaining weight, I started the adoption process when I was 27 and finally (after the first baby we tried to adopt was taken away) was able to adopt my son who is now 15. My husband at the time divorced me after 11 years of marriage when my son was 2. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's (Autism) when he was three. Now I am re-married to a wonderful man and have been married for almost six years. I have a wonderful family and they are extremely supportive. I am very excited to have the Lap Band Surgery, which will be on October 7th 2009.
