Jes, just had to tell you, I think you are doing just GREAT! You have a good head on your shoulders, keep up the good work. I want to encourage you to find an exercise that you like. Well, at least one that you can tolerate. As times goes on, you will be able to eat more, and I have found as a 14 month post op that I need to stay on top of this. We've worked too hard to ever go back from where we came, but it is possible to gain weight, and I don't want that to happen to either of us. Exercise is the key to long term success. I know it will help to speed the weight loss up a little, too. I started just walking in my neighborhood, and I then I went to the gym for the first time in 15 years when I was right under 200 pounds. I walk on the treadmill at a pretty good clip now, 52 minutes 3 times a week. I will never say "I love to exercise," but the hardest part is just getting there! And I certainly love the way I feel after I'm done. Also, be sure to keep up with your protein supplement. I slacked off a bit at 6 months, since the nutritionist said I was getting enough protein in my food. But as soon as I started back with the supplement, I started losing again. Exercise + protein = WLS success. Ok, off my soapbox now. Good luck to you & God bless. YOU HAVE SO MUCH IN LIFE TO LOOK FORWARD TO!!!!!!! Valerie 8/26/02 275/167/??
