9 years after vsg and I am having problems
Dec 24, 2019
I had my VSG in 2010. Lost over 150 lbs and ended floating around the 350 mark.
The past few months have been very tough and doctors are not finding answers. Over a month ago I passed almost 2 pints of blood and passed out but that passed. Spent the day in emergancy room thinkning it was a heart attack. Pain and couldnot breathe and feinting.
My lungs and and heart were in perfect health. So it was not a heart attack.
They think there is sometype of problem with my stomach, the pain of reflux and whatever is wrong with my stomach under my ribs had them concerned. The pain comes on whenever I eat anything and lasts for more than an hour.
This is actually bankrupting me, I can't do manual labor and the pain, breathing issues and fatigue is constant. The ER doctor said the breathing was actually hyperventilation becuase of the pain. Anyway they said I should go back to a primary care for a referral to a specialist.
This may or may not have anything to do with VSG, but is probably related to the severe acid issues that follow.
MOney is a serious issue as I dont have health care but I am wondering if I shouldnt just head to specialist instead.
