Hi all..... Laura is still in the hospital. She needed a blood transfusion last night, and initially felt better this morning. She went for an endoscopy and they found a bleeding ulcer on her staple line, and they are treating it, so hopefully she will feel better soon.

Well.... Laura is going back into the hospital. The bleeding has not stopped and she is feeling very weak. Dr. Ameri thinks it may be oozing from the bottom staple line (where the old and new meet up). She will go back to NPO and get IV fluids. Hopefully it will heal itself. If the bleeding does not stop with the NPO, then surgery may be necessary. Keep your fingers crossed.... Tanya

hi folks.... Laura has had a rough couple of days. She is now 5 days post op and feeling very weak. Yesterday, she started having bloody stools and had to go back to the hospital for blood work....thankfully they were fine. Today, after trying to take a shower, she almost passed out. Today was the 1st day she was able to get 3 protein shakes down, so hopefully she will start feeling better.... Tanya
