Hi everyone! I'm so thrilled I just got off the phone with Michele! She sounded soooooo good I thought it was Katie at first. She said she "feels really,really good, I feel great". She has had some ice bits. She has an epidural and the NG tube comes out tomorrow. She said the nurse, Steve, in ICU was very good and they were very attentive in ICU. She said she doesn't have a drain and that the dr. ups the antibiotics to reduce the risk of any infections, they told her her incision looks good. She was funny and joking around, I couldn't believe how wonderful she sounds! I'm so proud of her and her new outlook, she is extremely positive. She asked that we keep her in our prayers. Michele, you are on the road to recovery and with your positive outlook you are going to do very well! Katie, thank you for being here, to keep me updated and for helping your mom!

I just spoke with Michele's daughter Katie and found out Michele is doing very well. She said they visited her last night at 8 p.m. and brought Michele her CPAP machine. Initially Michele was sick from the anesthesia, but that is gone now. Katie said Michele had "good color" and was in no pain due to her epidural. Michele does have an NG tube and a catheter. Katie said Michele's throat was dry and she was using a swab. Michele is using her spirometer and is quite pleased with her own efforts with it so far. It sounds as though Michele is in good spirits! We love you Michele and are so proud of you!

Michele is out of surgery and was brought to recovery at 10:40 a.m. EST today. She is currently waiting for a room. I am hoping to gather more information as soon as I can, but unfortunately they have no phones in recovery. We are so proud of you Michele!! We love you!!!
