Hi Shay, CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. I had my Lap RNY WLS on 3/27/03. I'm 10 months post-op and have lost 75lbs. The day of surgery I weighed in at 341lbs but my highest weight ever was 353lbs. I'm disappointed with my slow progress but I'm so thankful that I'm losing. I could of never in life prior to surgery loose this much weight in 10 months. I do sometimes get depressed but this was happening when I would start comparing myself to other people. One of the reason why I'm so slow is because I have no restrictions at all when it comes to food. I'm able to eat everything that I was eating prior to surgery but just in smaller amounts. I do not dump on anything. I can eat sugar with no problem so this is why I switched to splenda a really good sugar substitute. I'm now exercising 5-6 days a week. I workout 30-45 minutes every morning by doing The Walk Away the Pounds, Tae-Bo or my Richard Simmons video tapes. I'm now drinkign over 64oz of liquids and I take my vitamins every day. I'm happy because in these last 10 months I've gone from a size 30/32 dress to a 22/24. Though I'm slow I'm going to stay on this road until I get to my destination and I believe in my heart that the Lord has not brought me this far to leave me. I truly loved reading your profile. What do you do daily for protein and exercise to be so successful. Many Blessings, Marilyn Lexington, KY 341/266/175 3/27/03 (-75lbs)

Shay this is a special one for you. I know this was not an easy task at first, but you have to know things will get better. Once you start to loose to loose that weight you will constantly thank me forever. You see we only get one chance at life , but we got two, now if thats not god showing us love what else is a man or woman to do. I want you to feel free now, because the skinny woman is about to come out. You will see her when you sream and shout as the weight constantly leaves about. Shay you have saw how it happened to me, for once again in your life you can finally feel free. Free to go anywhere and not worry about pain. Free to kick at the club without worrying about the drink you can't have because it will effect the medicine and have you in more pain. This is a blessing I must say. Now Ican't wait to see you start to drop weight. Now what will it be first this is your choice. A date, A night at the club, A kick it party just for shay. You tell me and it will be on it's way. You are the hommie, now stay true to this game! lol. I love shay take care-

(Angel comming in for a landing once again) Well I want to give all the glory to god, I also want to thank him for bringing shay through this surgery. Shay is really doing quiet well. They are going to change her meds because the morphine isn't working for her. So on to some more powerful stuff. She told me that she is going to kill me, because I did not say it would be that much pain involved. I just laughed and said to her the first and second days are something else. I just told her to hang in there it is all about determination. I feel the surgeon has done his part now it is time for us to work the rest of it. Because to me this was like the best gift one could have. But in a couple of months she will be like thanks pam.lol. Because thats how I feel now to all those who helped me through this all. Well They could not take out her gallbladder because they said that it was to deep inside, so he did not do that yet. Other than that she is awake and doing fine. Well if you havent signed her surgery page please do so. We love you shay, your friend and angel Pamela Pate
