Hi Becky, I feel for you with the water I had open RNY on 5/21/03. Water was the hardest thing to get down, I had to burp after each and every sip like you. I can drink Crystal lite diet ice tea with no problem, but just want to drink an 8 oz glass of water like I could pre-op. It is how ever getting better, I just put down 4 oz in 30 min. woohoo. OMG! My sister lives out near you, Harmony Township, practically next to the Merrill Creek Reservoir. All the best of luck on your journey, may your surgery be uneventful and as painfree as possible, and your recovery speedy. I'm scheduled for the 29th myself, Hackensack Hospital, Hackensack NJ.
