Way to go Kathy! What a journey you have had, keep up the good work. Your profile reminded me of myself, we're happy for the small things our weight loss has done for us... we can shop longer, cross our legs, the list could go on for ever.

Thank you for your prayers and support. I made it home! It was a really odd experience as I felt pretty good and looked pretty good. At first it was my really high resting pulse. I knew it was high but I had no idea it was running 127. I had to go to the cardiac unit for a night. I had my blue dye test early so I was able to take my blood pressure medicine by mouth. I was transfered back upstairs. I got a fever and my white blood count was too high. After making sure that everything concerning my surgery was alright. (I had my first CT scan.) I got to go home with instructions to take my temp as well as I am on antibiotics for the next week. My adventure begins-

Kathy is having some setbacks. She has out of control blood presure and was throwing up for a night or two. That seems to be getting in control. Now she has a high white blood count and the Dr. has taken her off of all liquids. She is having a CAT scan to see if she has a leak or some kind of infection. PLEASE pray for her! We believe in the power of prayer! Her sister-Ellie

Hi Kathy! Congrats on having your surgery! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!! Wishing you much success in your weight-loss journey. Soft hugs to you today. God bless, DI from NJ - Lap RNY, 12/09/03
