I had this procedure when I was 27 years old. The surgery itself went great. It was when I developed a post op DVT...that things begin to seem difficult for me. I was in constant pain from Sept. 23- Oct 08...until I nearly died. But by the grace of God I am still here. I was hospitalized for almost a month and released on a walker. I could not stand alone...let alone walk!!!...But I healed and am fine..I managed to get down from 441-276 and got pregnant in less than one year. I was terrified that the baby wouldn't get enough nutrients or that I would never loose the baby weight...Well, my son is healthy...But I have never reached my goal. I seem to fluctuate. But I try to remember that I am still equipped with a tool that is NOT a quick fix but rather an aid to encourage a healthier lifestyle. To make a long story short....My life has been bananas...but now I'm ready to finish the good works that were invested in me!
