"The EAS Advantage Coffee House protein drinks (3 I know of) are divine. I really love these things. They are the only protein drink I tolerate. They are so good I would drink them all day if they were only cheaper and easier to find in my area. I love to stick them in the freezer for about an hour so they get slushy and I am in heaven. Very, very GOOD. I have one on most mornings because I have a hard time eating early before work. Yummy."
"I would have given higher marks except I had a bad experience was some of the daytime nurses. Two of them were absolutely horrible to me. They treated me like I was something horrible because of my size. They would not call the doctor to get me pain meds that would work. One of them even yanked on my drain tube and shoved it back in. HOWEVER, the nighttime nurses and the techs in the daytime & nighttime were EXCELLENT. One nurse in particular was a lady named Bev who worked evenings/nights. She was very caring and always cheered me on when I would walk to halls. She even offered several times to walk with me. Please know that not all the nurse are bad. It was just two of them that were mean to me. It is also important to know that this hospital does not have chairs to fit super obese people in the waiting rooms. But I did have a staff member find one that I could just barely fit in. I wish they would get some armless chairs or bigger chairs."
"1. What was your impression of her? Well I thought she seemed like a very kind and caring person. She seemed very knowledgeable about what she does. 2. How did your impressino change over time? I have found out that she really does care for her patients and wants the best for us. 3. How would you describe her office staff? Her nurse Judy is absolutely wonderful. She is the sweetest and kindest nurse I think I've ever met. 4. What did you like least about her? I guess just that she had not done a whole lot of the surgeries when she did mine. But she does know what she is doing. And everyone has to start somewhere. 5. What should future patients know about her? Dr. Hruska is a great doctor and will answer all of your questions no matter how stupid you may thing they are. She always stresses the importance of you knowing all the risks associated with the surgery before hand. Afterwards she expects you to follow the plan and do some exercise...walking. 6. How much does she emphasize aftercare? She expects you to come see her like you are supposed to. She stresses how important it is that you take your vitamins like you are supposed to. 7. Does she have a structured aftercare program? I know they have a support group available. 8. How did she address the risks of surgery? She stressed them both times I saw her before surgery. She wants to make sure you totally understand what can happen. She even talked to me about it right before I went into surgery. 9. How would you rate her overall? I would definately recommend Dr. Hruska to other patients. 10. Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or both great? I think both are great. However I did not see her on a couple of the days I was in the hospital. Instead I saw her partner Dr. Steely. He has a good bedside manner, also. On another note....Dr. Hruska was really great to me the morning of surgery. Right before I went in to surgery she came and talked to me. She told me that she would take good care of me and that I would be ok. She also said I could back out anytime I wanted too until they put me to sleep. She seemed to really care about me and how I was feeling since I was so upset right before surgery. I think she is great. "
