getting more excited!

All my check-off lists have been created, and my shopping list has been purchased. All my travel clothing is clean. I'm getting more and more excited as time passes!
I found a Sleeve Sister today, thanks to Susan, Dr. A's coordinator. That will be fun, having someone to meet up with and experience the process together. We're both traveling alone. I'm not at all worried about that part. Don't have any specific worries or fears right now, but I'm just ready for the day to be here and the surgery to be done so I can get on with my "real" life.

I have paid the deposit for my surgery with Dr. Alvarez, and all the little ducks are lining up in a row. I just hope that nothing disastrous happens to prevent me from making the trip. I'm a little worried about the fact that my lapband must be removed first before the VSG can be done. What if he can't immediately do the VSG? That would leave me with NO weight loss surgery for a period of time, and I know from experience what that means. BIG weight gain.
Of course, I can't do anything about that anyway, so I'm trying not to worry too much about it.
Other than that fear, I really have no others. I've had several surgeries without any complications. I tend to do very well with general anesthesia. I have a high pain tolerance. I have confidence in the surgeon and his staff. All that is good. Now if I can just calm myself down for the next two weeks....whoo-hooo! I leave two weeks from tomorrow! Can't wait!
