Nine more days and it has finally begun to set in. I have struggled for two years getting approval through Cigna HMO and now it seems as if it was only yesterday I started my journey. What a wild ride it's been! If you have Cigna HMO don't give up. It may take you a while, but don't give up. I'm excited and scared at the same time just thinking about my approval/surgery. (I've heard others say that and I didn't understand what they meant until now.) It's odd that you don't begin to think of the "what-if's" until you're approved. Or at least I didn't. Then it hits you. I have one more hurdle to jump next Wednesday, the dreaded ENDOSCOPY. I've never had one done but thanks to everybody posting their experiences on this site, I've really learned alot. I'm not going to worry about the test. I've come this far and I'm not going to turn back now. Thanks to Eric and all the wonderful people who volunteer their most precious time working on this site. It has been a great resource for me. Please say a prayer for me on my upcoming surgery and I will do the same for all awaiting approval and having their surgeries soon. Good luck to all of you.

I can not tell you what this second chance on life has given me. WLS has openned a whole new world up for me. I believe it will for you to. Heal fast. The world is waiting on the new and improved you.

WOW!!! I have a date...Tuesday May 27th I will become healthier. My EGD will be the 21st and only one week after that is surgery. I can't believe it. It's been almost two years since my journey began. If you are having insurance troubles please don't give up. Document everything, and keep fighting for your right. You will win.
