I am 49 years old and I have (like most of you) high blood preasure and type 2 diabeties. I have been over weight most of my life and it didn't really make a differance until the last coupel of years. I have tried to get my insurance to cover my surgery, but was denied. It makes me mad to see the comercials that they spend tons of money on to advertise that they cover things like acupuncher, but they won't cover WLS. So I went to my family and they are going to help with the cost. I just found out today that I will have the total amount to cover it. That was close as I made my appointement to meet the doctor on Thursday (tomorrow) the 24th of October. If all goes well and I get all my test done, I will have my surgery on 11-1-2007. It seems fast but I have been ready for a long time and I have a time limit, our youngest son joined the Marines and will graduate from boot camp on November 30th in San Diego California. I have to be ther for that and the doctor said it should be fine if I take it easy and don't do a lot of sight seeing. So it has to go like clock work or I am in trouble and my surgery will have to be postponed until after the first of the year.
