I have been a roller coaster dieter for about 28 years. Each time I try to maintain my weight without fail I would gain every bit back plus more. I started just 20 to 30 pounds over weight in High School and through  the years my weight added on more and more. Now I realized I can't keep repeating this cycle. I've been active most of my life. I loved to play sports and play with my kids. My Husband and all my children are my life and my joy. Thanks to my wonderful Daughter-In-Law (Who is Hoping to have surgery too.) Showed me there is hope out there. She taught me everything I needed to know about surgery and how to get started. I LOVE YOU!Now my husband is looking into surgery also. So we have the support from our family, but I know I will need support outside our home. Advise is very welcome. I have a sleeping disorder, thyroid condition, Restless Leg Syndrome, water gain, allergies and migraines. I've been very lucky to marry the love of my life and we are going strong even after 25 years. I still have a 13 year old boy at home. I have 4 Grandchildren. 3 girls and 1 baby boy. My daughter is 25 and has 3 children and hoping to get married to a wonderful man soon. My oldest son is 23 married to a wonderful lady that I had the pleasure to help raise. They have a little girl. Again any advise is welcome.

It's Nov 4th. I got a call from Heather at St. V's this past week. I got my surgery date for Dec. 7. I'm scared and excited. I have never had surgery of any kind. I know what to expect but then again I don't really know how It will feel personally. I have got to go to a support meeting on Tuesday and fax papers saying that I was there to my insurance the next day. I already have appointment for my pre-opt test is on the Nov. 21st. My nutr'l class is on Nov. 12th. Then just wait till surgery day. Wish me luck.
