I swore I’d never hit 200 lbs but it happened when I was 6 months pregnant with my first child in June, 1988 went back down to the 180’s after I had her, back up to the 200’s with my second child in 1990 down again after having her and back up again in 1995 with my third child, and back down to 195 after I had him.
I started gaining the extra 6o pounds I gained a few years back when I was diagnosed with bi-polar and put on different medications. One medication actually caused me to gain 30lbs in less then a month, I finally ended up at my highest around 260 this past winter. I found it hard to lose weight because I was going through a really difficult time in my life the past two years. I lost my best friend. She was 35 years old and died of a heart aneurysm suddenly one night. We had no sign of her being ill or anything so it came to us as a complete shock. She left behind a 5 year old son( my godson) and a 3 year old daughter who I took care of all summer and that was when I realized that I was in no shape to take care of them and wanted to be around for them and my own children and needed to do something about my weight and started looking into WLS. I am right now down to 237 with dieting and a lot of exercising and can’t wait for my surgery to be down in the 100’s.
