losing pounds

Hello, Well its been 3 weeks since my surgery, I'm doing good I have lost 26lbs so far, which is very exciting. I can tell I'm starting to feel better about myself and being happier. I started back to work I work at an Elementary School, and all my co workers are so proud of me and tell me how much happier and how great I look. More work to do though. Which I am very excited to see my journey keep going.

I joined this website to share my thoughts and surgery experience with everyone else and hoping to find the same on here. Well I have battled my weight for so long I finally decided to do something about it. I decided to have the gastric bypass surgery done and I had it done Jan 17, 2011 just Monday. I was sent home Wednesday and I feel like I'm doing pretty good. It's hard at first I did'nt know what I had gotten myself into, I cried alot the first two days and wondered to myself what I did. It was very hard for for to cope and was all just overwelmed about all of it. I am better now and BELIEVE in myself that I can do it and stick with it. Exspecially with my mom's help and close friends. I am a single mother of two great boys ages 11 yrs old and 3 yrs old. They mean the world to me, but I knew down deep inside that I had to get Healthy not only for me but for them too. My best friend told me about Dr. she had used, so I decided to talk with him also, Dr. Rodriquez in Irving, Tx. He sat down with me and told me all I needed to know about the surgery, he very kind, and told me the truth. Thanks to him I can have my life back.
