6 month POST OP- Gastric Bypass
Feb 23, 2009
Hi All! So I am 6 moths post op my LAP RNY and I have lost 99 pounds. My goal was 100 by 6 months so I was a pound shy. I went from 321 pounds to 222 as of last week. I am wearing a size 16 pants and shirts are 16's also for the most part. I feel different... more active and bouncy (I guess is the word.) There are times eating right is tough now but I am managing okay. I am dealing with compliments from others slowly... it's hard to know how to react when a guy you dont know calls you beautiful or gorgeous. Like I said I am learning. Been tough to find time to excercise lately but I am going to MAKE TIME. It's so necessary for my journey. I wanted to be thin... yes, but more than than I wanted to be healthy and excercise is a must! I know my inches have shrunk-yay. It is amazing all the things we experience in a short amount of time. I see why some need therapy. hey maybe I will even go to sort out some feeling- who knows. But all in all... I am happy with what is happening in my life. My son is about to turn 7 years old and I am planning the funnest camo-army style party - very active and it's going to be the 1st time in YEARS that I will be participating and you will see me on video or in pictures! I get my life back... my son gets mom back! I have started doing my nails again and changed my hair- I am the new (old) me and it's fabulous. No more high blood pressure or sore body (unless I been excercing!) Hope you post ops are well and you pre ops are excited!Thank you all for your support on my journey

Down 3 pounds this week. Weight loss is slowing down and I am having to work XTRA hard... that's okay... as we all know this is a tool not a miracle! I was at a stall for almost 2 weeks so 3 pounds down is welcome :O) BTW did I mention? That is 95 pounds gone FOREVER since surgery less than 6 months ago. My personal goal was -100 by 6 months. I have a week and 2 days to reach that additional 5 pounds gone so I better work HARD! Talk to you all soon

I have been so blessed. No complications, I can eat alomst anything (sometimes I wish I couldnt) I get CRAVINGS! Chocolate is my weakness and I have to overcome that. I just want to say hello to all my WLS friends out there- YOU are all doing AWESOME. Thank you for supporting me

week 21... still losing
Jan 13, 2009
So today is 21 weeks since surgery. My weight went down another 3 pounds this week. I had been struggling with making good choices with food but have gotten myself back on track. I fit into a size 16!!!! I also went and tried on wedding dresses, still hard to imagine myself getting married (wearingthat dress) even having lost 86 pounds, but I am getting closer to my goal. I have been working out more... trying to commit to 5 days a week (usually 3-4) BUT I am doing cardio on ellipticle as usual but for much longer... and arm bands for toning and I have added ab work outs... bought the Ab Rocket/ or Ab Master. I like it- much better than floor crunches-OUCH. I hope you all are doing well. Thanks for listening

week 19 post op
Dec 29, 2008
Hello my OH friends! I lost 3 pounds this Christmas week... no loss last week at weigh in but I had a "visitor" and was having some other issues. that didn't help! Back on the ball this week. I have some off scale victories to report! First and foremost... I tried on a new size... it was a 14/16 and I was thinking this is going to look ridiculous... but I put it on AND IT FIT! I still wear 18 most of the time - pants and shirt. I am to the point where I do not want to buy any 18's because they will be a thing of the past soon... so I will wear what I have until it just doesnt work then go into the 14/16 category... HONESTLY I can NOT remember wearing a 14/16... I know I had to be there once but I don't remember it... it was well before I was probably 18 (10 years ago!) That feels great! It is getting harder to keep sweets out of my head (and mouth) I REALLY have to be careful with that... sweet temptations. AHHH.
Thanks for checking in on me... Happy New Year and I will see you all in 2009 with another update
