Kelly, I have had 2 endoscopy's, and they were a piece of cake. I didn't even really need a ride home if I had driven, but I didn't. It doesn't hurt at all. The worst part is the prick from getting an IV. You don't even remember the procedure, even though your awake, but they give you a amnesiatic, so you don't even remember the scope going down your throat. It doesn't even really hurt your throat too much. Hope this helps.
