Hi I want to thank everyone who wished me well. Well it is finally over. I have lost 20 lbs. already. My surgery was only one week ago. Unfortunately there were complications. I went to the hospital to have surgery at 2:30 pm and had to wait 4 more hours. It was sheer hell. I was ready to go home I was so scared. After surgery my pcp pump did not work. I couldn't get pain management and they did not realize until an hour had passed!!I spen the next day in advanced recovery, which wasn't so bad. At least they understood the surgery. I then was transfered to a floor. My roommate was an older women who had her own nurse. That should say it all. So I really didn't get any rest on that end. Especially when at 3am she needed her toes rubbed. I ended up with a fever and the nurse gave me tylenol pills. I told her I couldn't take pills and she came back with 5 suppositories, which she failed to put in the right place. I had to remind her where they go!!I went home only to have to be readmitted to the hospital. I think the tests were much worse than the surgery. I got to the hospital at 10 am and was not admitted into a bed until 5:30pm. I was sick as a dog and I had to sit in admitting until my bed was washed. My small colon became irritated and swelled. So I couldn't pass my food that I had eaten into the small bowl. It layed in my stomach for at least 16 hours. I kept tasting it. I felt so so sick. Well I am finally home and it feels good. My husband has taken really good care of me. I couldn't be luckier. I'll keep you posted.
