**6/2/02 Well here I am two weeks post-op and Ive never felt better. The pain was intense and I greatly under-estimated it...none the less, i would do it again in 1 second. Surgery lasted 4.5 hours becuase of my gall bladder and multiple stones and I had a hole in my intestines. Once resolved, I was in recovery and taking small steps 6 hours later. I lost 20 lbs already and keep on thinking that my scale is broken or lying. I had lap so my scars are really tiny and healing well. ** I guess the worst part for me is the emotional healing....but It gets so much easer every day. Food was my coping device and Im tapping alotof inner strength I nver even thought I had. Boy..this surgery is even better then I oiginally thought!!! Thanks for all the Prayers my WLS family......With Out you, I dont know If would have maintained my courage!!!
