Julie, Me again, Yes it is totally normal not to be able to eat much at all. As the swelling goes down in your new tummy it will get better. I am out 5.5 weeks now and pretty much am getting back to normal and can eat about 1/2 a cup of anything in half an hour. It does get better. Don't worry too much about your protien intake the first few weeks, just your fluids. Concentrate on them Tami
