"I was pleased with the surgery done by Dr. Geller. I was his first gastric bypass, although he had been assisting Dr. Shina for some time. I have had no problems since the surgery. Dr. Geller has been very helpful in scheduling my follow-up visits since I live 4 hours away from Louisville.
However, I have not been happy with the billing process in his office. I have called several times and asked for a bill to be sent to my insurance company. They have called me waiting for a bill. My surgery was August 22, 2002. It is now January 2, 2003 and I still have not seen a bill.
This is a big problem because it is holding up payments to other health care providers. I had $1000 out of pocket maximum. Dr. Geller required $1200 before the surgery. Since I have not received a bill reflecting this pre-payment, my insurance is unable to pay 100% of the other bills.
I have called, I have had Donna with RightWeigh call. Still nothing. Real Bummer!!"
