"I was very impressed with Dr. Hall from my first visit with him. As with most doctors, he does not mix words and is ready and able to discuss the positive and negative consequences of either the rny or the vbg surgery, including blood clots and death. Having weight loss surgery is such a factual route to take, yet weight control is such an emotional issue. I think Dr. Hall did a good job of explaining the two different areas and gives his patients everything they need to know to make sure the two work together. I would say his surgical competence is better than his bedside manner, and as my surgeon, I would not have it any other way! As far as negatives, I did feel "rushed through" on the day of my testing ... almost like another number in line. There were 7 other people going through the process with me, which probably added to the chaotic atmosphere. He came to visit every day in the hospital and stressed that I was on my own to make sure I got enough exercise and followed the program. If you need to be babied to follow a program, I would not suggest this one."
