"Dr. Batty is very knowledgable,kind and understanding. He takes time to hear your concerns, answer your questions, provide vital info to you be sure that you undersatnd the info he is providing for you.He is also very thorough in your pre-op exam and testing.
He also has a good sense of humor..which is important to me.:)
The office staff are very friendly and eager to help you in any way.
Aftercare was discussed initially on the first visit. He informed me what his expectations and my responsibility to this procedure are. He added that I would learn everything I need to know before leaving the hospital and by trial and error (diet tolerance).
I only have great things to say about he and his staff. He is a competent surgeon. He saved the life of someone at our church who was in critical condition. This persons recommendation and the info I have gathered personally on him give me the greatest of confidence that I am in great hands.
I believe surgical competence is the most important factor for me. However, bedside manner can make a difficult situation a whole lot easier for everyone involved. I have no desire to have a surgeon who has the personality of a rock...:)
