"10/6/01 I had my consultation with Dr. Gomez on Tuesday 10/2. First I met with his nurse Jane. She is the most wonderful person. She is very kind, compassionate, eager to explain anything or answer any question, and best of all she was truly excited for me! I wish she would be my nurse while I'm in the hospital! LOL I then met with the dietician who went over info for after surgery. Then I met Dr. Gomez. I was soooo impressed with him. He is a very kind man. He gave me all the info I needed and was very happy to answer all my questions. The thing that impressed me the most is that he treated me like a human being....one that he really cared about and would take good care of. I feel really good about making him my surgeon. I was also impressed with how organized they were. I was there for 4 hours and accomplished the following....a meeting with the nurse, dietician, physical therapist, consult with the doctor, EKG ran, blood work, and a chest x-ray. I was very impressed with this! I will update more after surgery. "
