Alan Lindsay

"Dr. Lindsay is part of the overall program Dr. Rehnke is developing for his bariatric patients. While he does not require you see Dr. Lindsay, things go smoother if you do, since Dr. Lindsay knows exactly what Dr. Rehnke requires in a psyc eval for his patients. In addition, while I rarely ever choose to see a male psycologist, I was very impressed with his grasp of the female psyche with regards to WLS. He has heard it all and definately understands. He is not in the least judgemental or condescending, like most male medicos are to their female patients (Dr. Rehnke is an exception to that, too! ). He is very well informed, compassionate, and caring. It doesn't hurt that he's pretty nice to look at as well. ;-)"

"I have been familiar with Dr. Rehnke for a good while as I am a nurse and have taken care of some of his general surgery patients in the past. This is why I initially chose him- I knew he was an excellent surgeon. After my first consult meeting, I was even more impressed. He sat down with me, knee to knee, made eye contact, and stayed seated until I ran out of questions for him to answer. He didn't do any of those "busy doctor" things like look around instead of at you, tap his foot, refuse to sit, or stand by the door. This is very important to me. Hi office staff is the greatest- not one bit of that 'looking down the nose' business. Eye contact, friendliness, and respect is all you get from them. Anyone planning to have surgery with him is in good hands. I found out yesterday that he is rated the top wls surgeon in Florida by the insurance regulation entity of this state. That's pretty impressive in my book and just further comfirmed my decision. The only downside is that the aftercare program is not structured. You are expected to be an adult and take care of yourself. They want you to see a counselor regularly for emotional support and to attend the support group meetings but it's up to you to do it. Overall- he is a 10 out of 10 for me."
