Dia, Funny how we get attached to different people whopost on this board. I saw your sweet face and said, ah, there is Dia....let's see what up with her! Don't be so hard on yourself! Everyone loses at their own pace. I had one plateau that lasted 5 weeks and another that lasted 3 !! But I fought the fight and kept trying and at last my poor ol' body said OK, let her lose!! I dropped 3 lbs one day and 2 the next. I also kept asking myself, how many years did it take to gain all that weight? If you're like me and are an emotional eater, you also have the "addiction" issues and that goes one day at a time, hon. But we can do this!! YOUR FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT, I GOTTA WEAR SHADES!!! HUGS!! Hello Dia, Girl I know what you are feeling. But don't you dare give up. I was at a stand still for a month or so. I went to the dr and felt like a big time failer. I had only lost 2lbs in a month. Now how low can it get. lol I left out of there with my head hung so low. Anyhow I came home and changed alot of the wrongs I was doing. And started drinking my 64oz water and walking and exercising and focused on my proteins. I guess this jump started things, and now I'm losing again. So hang in there. As long as you don't gain, things will be ok. Take care

Dia sweetie, go back to the basics. Protein first, water, water, water, walk, walk, walk. Remember, this surgery is a tool and you have to continue to use it as such. I wish you the very best and continued success on your Journey.

Dia, sweety, I read your psot, don't know if you had open or lap...I had open RNY and yes, I like you, came home one day after walking (about 2 wks post-op) and sure enough, my shirt was all wet. I leaked from late August till oct 25th (leaked for 2 months)! The way I look at it, if this is the only complication I have, GOD BLESS! It will pass, I promise. It is more of an inconvience then a set back...I promise. Happy Gobble Gobble! Good Luck to you.

hi there dia! congrats on making it to the other side. :) i read your post on the message board about the incision leak,just wanted to let ya know that my cousin julie experienced the same exact thing and was really freaked, but it was normal and everything a o k! god bless and praying for your speedy recovery!

WELL HELLO ALL!!! I AM HOME!! THE STAY SUCKED!TELL YA MORE LATER.WELL EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL TODAY,WELL I AM OUT GETTING MY EXERCISE IN THE GROCERY STORE FEELING GREAT!!GOT TO THE CAR AND NOTICED MY SHIRT WAS WET!YUP NICE DRY INCISION UNTIL TODAY I AM SO DEPRESSED, EVERYTIME I FEEL GOOD THERE IS A SET-BACK,MY SURGEON SAID IT IS NORMAL AND JUST KEEP IT CLEAN, WELL A CLEARISH/PINK/RED LEAK IS UPSETTING TO ME!!! AT LEAST THERE IS NO PAIN,FUNK,OR HEAT SO I'LL LIVE!!

I am so excite for Dia. She made it through with flying colors. She was out of surgery by 11:30am, on Thursday. I was finally able to see her around 7:30pm in the recovery room b/c they did not move her to her room until 8:30pm that night. She was so ready to get out of bed and walk. Dia said, she was ready in do pain. I was kick out of the hospital around 9:20pm. Thanks Dia for inviting me to share this wonderful journey with you.

Hi everyone I called the hospital and I was told that she was in recovery and that was about 4:39pm. So I will keep you guys posted on her recovery and thanks to everybody who sent her there good lucks. God Bless All
