"I will be honest, I was not real sure about Valerie the first time I met her. I though she was extremely blunt and uncaring. I thought my first consultation was more like a sparring match than an information meeting. As I would have gone elsewhere, but she was dietician for the bariatric group that is doing my RYN surgery so I needed to work with her. First impressions can be changed!! She cares about all the people she works with. I know she sees a lot of people and conducts a monthly support group as well as a pre-op weight loss group that meets weekly. She remembers most things about individuals, habits, goals, problems that made me see how in tune with her practice she really. She is still blunt, but it's beacuse she wants us to succeed with our surgery and weight loss goals. She cuts through the "crap" and "excuses".
