Dear Joya Congratulations on your upcoming surgery....I also live in Detroit and had my surgery on Dec 4th, and we also are close to the same starting weight. I was 306 day of surgery, and now weigh in the 230's somewhere, I weigh myself once a month. As of March 15th I weighed 243, down 63 lbs. I gave away my scale after surgery because I was on it everyday after surgery....I gave it to a friend and said "Give it back to me when I hit the Century Mark, Not until then..." To my friend, you have a very big inspiration to me. I pray that everything goes well for you. I know we have joked in the past but you are really a blessing in disguise. Hopefully, in the near future, after my surgery we can exchange clothes. But I will still look better than you(hahaha). I love you. Tonja

Joya, congratulation on your upcoming surgery!!!!!!!! You will be on the losing side in no time at all. I am Praying for your surgeon to have steady hands and for his talents and skills be their best to give you your new life tool.I also pray for your recovery to be speedy and uncomplicated. My surgery is also just a few days away (April 16th)so I know how you are feeling! That nervous excitement of waiting. Time is an amazing thing I have heard over and over what a diffrence a year can make. So if things get hard remember this is a stepping stone and in no time you will be an inspiration to others a year from now. I am here for you!
