"I have my initial consult scheduled with Dr. Coirin on 8/13/03. Will also attend his seminar that night. I have not met Dr. yet, but the office staff has always been friendly on the phone. And they sent the patient packet the SAME DAY. I felt that the girls on the phone were really LISTENING to me. I am looking forward to my consult in 2 weeks. I will update after that.
8/14/03 I attended the seminar last night, after meeting with Dr. Coirin earlier in the day. Again, the office staff has been wonderful. I did not have a long wait (I was prepared for an hour or more), and Dr. Coirin did not mind answering my FOUR pages of questions. He has a very structured aftercare program. He did discuss the risks of surgery, but since I have done a lot of research, and many of my questions had to do with risks, he did not dwell on them. He is very mild mannered, and has a good sense of humor. I would rate him a 10+.
For all of you preops researching surgeons, Dr. Coirin's current surgery count is around 160, plus note his many years of experience with laproscopic surgery!"
